This is one of the easiest and cheapest toners you could ever make.I did a little digging and found that the Japanese have used rice water for thousands of years to promote cell growth and stimulate blood flow and tighten and brighten the skin which is important to Japanese women. Rice water is very good for treating acne and scarring as it contains lots of vitamins and minerals like ferulic acid that is an antioxidant and allantoin which has anti-inflammatory properties that are beneficial to the health of your skin. This recipe is so easy to make and i will say that it leaves your skin feeling soft and clean even after the first time you try it.
DIY RICE TONER
What You'll Need:
1/2 cup rice (any kind)2 cups water1 bowl 1 air tight container cotton pads
What You do:
In a bowl add you 1/2 cup of rice, then rinse rice under water and discard the first set of water to remove the dirt and impurities.add your 2 cups of water to the rinsed rice and cover.Let the rice sit and soak for atleast 15-30mins.Occasionally, swirl the bowl around or knead with your hands so that the water becomes cloudy. The cloudy water is what you want to use because that contains all the vitamins and minerals from the rice. After 15-30mins drain the rice by pouring out the water into another bowl or right into the air tight container you will be storing the rice water. Save the rice to cook for you dinner!
Using the Rice water - 2 Methods
Cleaner: Pour some of the rice water into hands and gently massage onto face and neck for a few minutes. Let your face and neck air dry so your skin can absorb all the vitamins and minerals from the rice water.Toner: Soak a cotton ball or pad into the rice water and apply all over the face and neck after you wash your face morning and night. Let your face and neck air dry so your skin can absorb all the vitamins and minerals from the rice water. Use daily.
